Solid sodium chlorite is white crystal or light green yellow solution, which is relatively stable at room temperature and normal storage conditions. It should be kept away from acid because it easily reacts with acid to release chlorine dioxide gas.
Application
1. Used for drinking water purification, no residual chlorine odor, sterilization, dephenolization and deodorization for sewage treatment.
2. High-efficiency bleaching agent and oxidant. Mainly used for pulp, paper and various fibers, such as cotton, linen, reed. Bleaching of viscose fibers, bleaching flour, sugar or starch, grease and wax, etc.
3. Used for leather dehairing, surface treatment of certain metals, purification of drinking water and sewage treatment, etc. It can be used as a discharge agent for indanthrene dyeing.
